The Credit Ombudsman

The Credit Ombudsman is appointed by the COSL Board and is the decision-maker of the Credit Ombudsman Service, with overall management responsibility for the Credit Ombudsman Service.

The Credit Ombudsman can make any decision allowed under COSL’s Rules and has the powers, duties and functions conferred or delegated by COSL’s Constitution, Rules and Board.

Raj was appointed as the Ombudsman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Credit Ombudsman Service in October 2006.

Raj has been a senior legal professional for over 20 years with considerable financial services experience, both as an in-house lawyer and as an Executive Director of a peak industry body.
